Once a small piece of monster model history, now reimagined on a towering scale—BloK4 proudly presents a life-size tribute to The Forgotten Prisoner, originally released in 1963 as the fifth entry in Aurora’s iconic Movie Monster series.
This towering mixed-media diorama stands at 87 inches tall, 43 inches wide, and 36 inches deep, transforming the once 1/8th scale plastic model into a full-bodied, haunting centerpiece. Every component has been reinterpreted with dramatic scale and theatrical flair, while remaining true to the vintage spirit of the original kit.
Chained within a stone-textured cell, the skeletal prisoner hangs limply—an eternal reminder of torment long past. His tattered clothes, decayed flesh tones, and exposed ribcage are rendered in vibrant hues, echoing the bold color palette of mid-century horror packaging. Fabric, foam, wood, metal, and plastic all combine in this mixed-media construction, with hand-painted finishes that amplify every detail—from bone patina to rusted manacles.
The cave wall behind him, painted in eerie purples and reds, is carved with the infamous title: “The Forgotten Prisoner.” Rats scurry at his feet, a loose hand dangles from a chain, and a cracked skull rests nearby, completing the tableau with macabre charm.
From its oversized proportions to its museum-level build, this piece is more than nostalgia—it’s a resurrection. The Forgotten Prisoner now looms in full size, an icon of monster model culture brought chillingly to life.
