Baron Wolf von Frankenstein (Basil Rathbone) is determined to prove the legitimacy of his father's scientific work, thus rescuing the family name from disgrace. Fun fact from Kelly Mark- "Back in 2007 I was able to get a piece of the set from the Universal Studios back lot (in their warehouse) when they were throwing things away. They had a bunch of wood that was marked Phantom of the Opera, Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Son of Frankenstein. I took wood from the Frankenstein collection and made it into a base! It came from an area on the lot called the courtyard of miracles. ”
