Roger Saiki - Director of Technology
With a passion for extreme sports and schooling in Industrial Design, Roger was ready to hit the ground running much earlier than most of his peers. In 1992, at the age of 22, Roger started Brotherhood Mfg, a snowboard manufacturing company. As a founding partner, he pioneered innovative technical solutions for composite design and manufacturing and led an exclusive team to design and build the machinery, tooling, snowboards, and all the related products for the young company. Using his skills in Fabrication and Implementing the use of computer aided design and manufacturing they were Within three years, producing 10,000 boards a year supplying OEM customers like Asics , Anheuser Busch, Black and White, Basic, Family.
Once that endeavor was up and running, Roger was eager for his next opportunity, and took on the role of Technical Director for Cequal Products, Inc. Here he was able to use his experience in design and manufacturing engineering to help the home comfort products company modify some of its current product designs, saving the company by vertically integrating design, processes and practices and streamlining in-house production.
In 2016, Roger started Super Tasty, LLC. This company gave him the freedom to use 3d computer modeling, CNC machining , metal fabrication and the emerging technologies of 3d printing, 3d scanning to help clients integrate new practices and workflow on products such as Personal electric vehicles (SPEEDBOARD), Medical equipment and specialty props and costumes.
Roger is adept in the following software:
Fusion 360, Solidworks, Meshmixer, Cura, Chitubox, Adobe Illustrator and photoshop, along with 3d printing skills in FDM, SLA/DLP operation and pre and post-processing.
His physical skill set includes:
Metalworking - Gas, MIG, TIG, brazing, mill , lathe, CNC plasma, sheet metal
Woodworking - Table saw, band saw, routering, drilling finishing.
Composites - Fiberglass, aramid fiber design, compression and vacuum/autoclave processes.
Heath Hammond - Creative Director
Heath has worked in Film and Television, Product Manufacturing and
Product Development for over 22 years. He specializes in 3D and Prototype
Artistry. Heath’s emphasis and expertise is in Creative Directing and Project
Management; having extensive experience in Research and Development, Team
Development and Team Organization. In addition to Heath’s artistic talents, his
specialties include: historical consulting and specialty costume consulting with an
emphasis on military attire throughout history and historical military research;
specialty costume designing for sci-fi, fantasy & action figures.
As one of the foremost specialty painters in the business, Heath has worked with the following companies on a plethora of projects. Including, but not limited to:
SideShow Collectibles, The Walt Disney Company, Walt Disney Imagineering, Anovos Productions, Stone Circle,Dream Quest Images, History for Hire, Hired Gun Productions, Caravan West Productions, Greystone Productions,
The History Channel, The Creative Production Group, and Design Setters. Mural and Landscape art for the National Museum of The Civil War Soldier for Pamplin Park Civil War Site, in Petersburg, Virginia; Working and collaborating with artists Keith Rocco; Wendy Froud, and Brian Froud.
TV and /film production work includes:
Armageddon, Con Air, Thin Red Line, Immortal Beloved, Tombstone. Civil War Journal, Tales of the Gun, Suicide Mission, Me Time, The Spaceman, and more.
Heath Hammond served in the United States Navy for eleven years as a Combat
Crew Chief on HH-60H Helicopters and Rescue Swimmer. Heath has training in
high profile missions, such as Combat Search and Rescue, space shuttle recovery,
and Drug Enforcement Agency operations. Being part of an elite squadron, HCS-5,
who’s missions were “strike rescue”, encompassing many of America’s elite
combat units as the Navy SEALs, Marine Recon, and Air Force Para Jumpers, in
addition to other Nations elite units, including the Australia’s SASR.
During his service, Heath earned the Sikorsky Rescue Award, Naval Achievement
Award, Naval Physical Readiness Award, and Space Shuttle Recovery Award.
Heath holds a Degree in History – 1992; his artwork reflects his historical interests
and passion for history.
